GUATEMALA CITY, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A video of Guatemalan soldiers beating underage teens in the streets is creating condemnation and has sparked a government investigation.
In the video, multiple soldiers are seen pushing two teens to a wall before the soldiers begin beating them in several ways. One teen was induced to vomiting during the violence.
The soldiers are heard in the video yelling at the teenagers for running away and cursing at them with profanities.
"We condemn in strongest terms the actions of members of the army against two teenagers and demand the prompt clarification," Jorge de León Duque, counsel for the Office of Human Rights in Guatemala, said.
