Colombia's fugitive former Peace Commissioner has not been included in Interpol's list of international fugitives because of procedural errors.

Authorities asked Interpol on Tuesday to order an international arrest warrant for Luis Carlos Restrepo, but because of procedural errors the ex-official has not been added to the 'red circle' list, reported Caracol Radio Wednesday.

"The prosecution presented us with a document soliciting the capture of the ex-Commissioner, however they were missing requirements that the Interpol of France needed," explained general Carlos Mena Bravo, director of the Colombia's National Police.

The ex-peace commissioner was allegedly involved in organizing the false demobilization of the fictitious FARC front "Cacica La Gaitana" in March 2006, along with imprisoned FARC guerrilla "Olivo Saldaña," and drug trafficker Hugo Rojas Yepez. The three were accused of paying homeless, unemployed people, and drug addicts to train, live and act like FARC guerrillas, and then surrender to security forces.
