Caracas, February 28.- The president of the Arturo Uslar Pietri Foundation (FAUP), Antonio Ecarri, denounced on Wednesday that between 28 and 30% of Venezuelan teachers have left the country, a phenomenon that, In his opinion, it is generating the definitive collapse of the Venezuelan educational system.

In the framework of the forum "Program for democratic change, from collapse to recovery", Ecarri said that the figure obtained in joint studies between FAUP and Fetramagisterio, evidence the unprecedented crisis that has put in check the future of Venezuela.

On this analysis, the maximum representative of the Pencil Alliance, pointed out that the displacement of educators should be added the deterioration of school infrastructure , the absolute shortage of food program in Venezuelan schools, reported a press release .

"Children are malnourishing, they are malnourishing (...) we are close to the worst social catastrophe the country had ever had and had never experienced," he told the media that approached him when they left the space where they discussed understanding together with José Manuel Puente, expert in the economic field; the political scientist Carlos Raúl Hernández; and Jesús Rafael González, university professor.

"Of that 30% of absent educators, almost 70% is in the science area, that is, we are putting the education of the future of Venezuela in danger . Who will educate the engineers, scientists of the future, if they can not take classes in mathematics, physics or chemistry, "he reflected.

On the other hand, the political leader questioned that the National Electoral Council (CNE) does not offer conditions for fair, free and transparent elections, through which the country can elect a new president of the Republic. "Venezuela needs a cure of truths, as Arturo Uslar Pietri used to tell us. The only way out that this crisis has to be is through the vote , but for that it is necessary that people feel and can effectively make their vote worthwhile (...) when a country stops believing in the vote the ghosts are awakened more terrible of our history," he warned.
