Maduro promises gasoline in exchange for votes in Amazonas

Maduro promises to be the "protector" of Amazonas and "hit" the mafias of gasoline
MAY 8, 2018
translated from Spanish

The president and candidate for re-election Nicolás Maduro promised to become the "protector" of Amazonas and "hit" the mafias that handle the gasoline contracting in the entity, according to a campaign event held from that border state on Tuesday 8 of May.

The Head of State promised to supply fuel to the entity in exchange for votes on May 20, which violates the electoral guarantee agreement signed before the National Electoral Council (CNE) on March 1.

It is not the first time that Maduro violates the agreement. In a visit to D elta Amacuro he delivered eight boats , nine ambulances and reopened the Tucupita airport "Antonio Díaz", among other announcements he made in the eastern state, despite the fact that the Organic Law of Electoral Processes (Lopre) prohibits the use of of public resources to campaign , according to what is established in article 223 . And this is one of the prerogatives included in the agreement signed by the presidential candidates before the CNE.

Maduro got roundly booed at this event. Amazonas is a state in Venezuela that doesn't have any representation in the national assembly (not that it matters, as Maduro has unilaterally dissolved the AN anyway) when he refused to seat their three democratically elected representatives after the 2015 votes that swept his PSUV party from power.

But, that didn't keep the moron from dressing up like an indigenous person and begging for their votes.
