Mexico Will Treat Guatemalans Burned in Volcanic Eruption
Mexico, Jun 9 (Prensa Latina) Seven Guatemalans with severe burns from the eruption of the Fuego volcano will be transferred to the National Center for Investigation and Assistance to Burns in Mexico (CENIAQ), it was reported.
The team of CENIAQ members, who were sent to provide care for the wounded, and the Guatemalan Ministry of Health, determined that they were candidates to be transferred to Mexico to receive treatment.
It was informed that the transfer will be carried out with the support of the Navy Secretary.
In addition, the Health Ministry reported on the dispatch of the Task Force Copac, consisting of three mobile medical units accompanied by one of logistics and supervision.
