Oleg Kostko / June 22 2018.- The Inter-American Commission of Human Rights denounced this Friday through a report presented at an extraordinary session of the OAS that accounted for a total of 212 victims of the "repressive action of the state" since the protests began In Nicaragua.

"The repressive action of the State has produced at least 212 people dead until June 19, 1,337 people injured and 507 people were deprived of liberty registered until June 6," said the text as outlined by the AFP .

The IACHR also explained that the Government of Nicaragua headed by Daniel Ortega "violated the rights to life, personal integrity, health, personal freedom, assembly, freedom of expression and access to justice."

The aforementioned organization determined in its report that the violence of the state has been directed as a way to persuade citizens to hold demonstrations as well as to stifle Nicaraguan citizens' attempts to express their disagreement with government policies.
