Human rights body condemns Brazil for journalist's death

Updated 12:54 pm CDT, Friday, July 6, 2018

SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazil says condemnation from the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights for the torture and death of well-known journalist Vladimir Herzog during the country's military dictatorship is "just."

Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira says Friday that respect for the commission's decision earlier in the week is "unquestionable."

In its ruling, the commission said Brazil had been negligent in investigating, prosecuting and punishing those guilty for Herzog's death.

Herzog was arrested and murdered in 1975 while in an army jail in the city of Sao Paulo.

hauled their repulsive behinds out to "protest," bringing balloons, taking selfies with the police, walking around gaping at the naked women in high heels who strangly showed up and walked through the crowd, even brought their nannies to push the baby carriages through the crowds so mom and dad could walk ahead, sometimes with the family dog. Big day for ultra-white oligarchs every time. They also carried signs demanding their own military dictatorship to reseize power and run the country.

Hope it won't take karma too long for them to start becoming more aware of their own self-created destinies in dramatic ways.
