Most energy rich state in Venezuela runs out of... energy

Zulia, the oil state of Venezuela, runs out of energy
July 16 2018, 7:33 a.m.

Living without air conditioning in Zulia, the hottest state in Venezuela with temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius in the shade, is the closest thing to living in hell because of the continuous blackouts and the rationing of light that Nicolás Maduro's regime applies to that area, publishes ABC / Spain .

The cuts of the electric power and the lack of government solution have increased the discomfort of the Zulia people who had no choice but to go out to protest to the street by lighting fires in different parts of Maracaibo, capital of the state, giving the impression of being a burning land

The government decided to apply a 4-hour electric ration, but the blackouts continue for more than 6, 10 and even 36 hours, generating desperation due to the heat of the area.

In Zulia live about four million inhabitants. It is the oil state that contributes 60% of the income to the country and nevertheless suffers the ravages of the economic and humanitarian crisis like no other region.

Without electricity, the Zulia people can not work or move from one place to another. Companies and hospitals have closed because they do not have electricity. Refrigerators, household appliances and electronic equipment are constantly damaged and no authority assumes responsibility for breakdowns. The only thing that remains to be done is to protest but the authorities do not echo the complaints of citizens. In Caracas, Maduro's government attributes the electricity crisis to the opposition and the economic war but does not offer to solve the problems of the services.

Imagine having your cities electricity going out all the time, and calling up the local utilities to complain... and being blown off? You go down to the office to complain, and you are met by your states security forces who tell you to "quit complaining or we'll arrest you"?

Meanwhile, your currency is worthless, the money you have in your account cannot be accessed (no electricity) and the food you do buy spoils because there is no refrigeration. And the Chavistas and their apologists think that this is the new normal?
