August 31, 2018. - The inhabitants of Caracas will have to face this week, new days without water. Hidrocapital informed this Thursday, August 30, that due to a failure in the Tuy II System, which will be delivered to the five municipalities of the capital, the service will be affected.

Through its Twitter account, the hydrological state indicated that the cause of the failure occurred in Puy 25 station Tuy II on Wednesday, August 29. He adds that Hidrocapital's technical staff is working to solve it, although he does not indicate in this message how much time he estimates the repairs will take.

Sucre, Chacao, Baruta, El Hatillo - from Miranda - and Libertador - from Capital District - are the municipalities affected by this breakdown, according to the company's press release. Specifically in the last one, the affected parishes will be Altagracia, La Candelaria, Cathedral, El Recreo, San Bernardino, San Agustín, January 23, San José and La Pastora.

Hidrocapital added that once the failure is resolved, they hope to gradually restore potable water service in these sectors and offered an apology to users "for the inconvenience caused." He also noted that to expand this information, interested parties can contact the state through the 0800-Drinking (0800-7682253).

Failures in the water supply service are not only recurrent, but they already reach the limits of putting health at risk for unhealthiness in some sectors of Caracas.
