Spanish Court seizes the former Vice-Minister of Energy Nervis Villalobos 40 luxury homes in MarbellaThursday, 10/18/2018 01:28 PM
10-18-18.- The 41st courthouse in Madrid seized more than 40 villas in Marbella, Málaga, the former Vice Minister of Energy of Venezuela, Nervis Villalobos, as well as another hundred properties in Spain, which reveals the enormous real estate that he managed to amass the Venezuelan in Spain, reports the agency Efe.
Among what El País reveals, highlights that the man acquired in 2014 a house in La Moraleja (Alcobendas) of more than 3,000 meters valued at three million euros.
Villalobos was also prosecuted in Andorra, along with other former senior officials of PDVSA. The ex-Vice Minister of Chávez "was part of a network of former Venezuelan leaders, businessmen and figureheads who charged commissions of up to 15% for facilitating contracts with the state oil company to foreign companies."
These bribes were paid at the Banca Privada d'Andorra (BPA) between 2007 and 2012, weaving a network of 37 current accounts in the name of Panamanian companies, to then take the money to tax havens like Switzerland or Belize "to mask funds , according to the investigations of an Andorran judge".

(22,156 posts)massive corruption in this country and when it comes to oil money and revenues for Venezuela, the regular person on the streets and their families will be truly the ones suffering. Wonder if rump, who threatened to invade, wanted to invade strictly for the oil, and not helping the inhabitants? ... Wouldn't surprise me in the least that oil would be primary and the health of individuals/families would be a poor second/third/fourth/last concern of any rump invasion...
I had a good friend in Venezuela years and years ago (Carlos). Been a long time since I've heard from him and wish that he's doing okay (his family too). Perhaps they escaped the craziness that's taken over the government and country.

Thanks again.
Trump won't invade Venezuela. The people with actual brains in the White House have walked him back from that thought... because an invasion is exactly what the Chavistas want. It would absolve them of the disaster that is Venezuela.
Maduro and his lackeys spend every waking moment taunting The Orangutan in Chief in the hopes that he'll bite.
