Related: About this forumFor anyone who ever wondered why Fidel Castro spoke for 4 hours at the U.N.:
At 6:40 PM, EST, Ari Melber made a reference to the speech made at the UN by Fidel Castro as an example of hot air.
I wondered why Castro did that and what it was all about, went to look for information, instead of sitting there like an idiot and moving on.
It happened in September, 1960. The Revolution was officially over New Year's Eve, 1959, at which time bloody dictator Fulgencio Batista, his cabinet, other influential congressional members and heads of industry and agriculture and their lawyers all skipped, taking along with them the contents of the Cuban National Treasury.
After taking some months to try to organize a government, Fidel Castro appeared in New York at the United Nations to make a formal statement.
His statement contains more information than ANYONE else could have covered in that time. There was so much which had happened before and after the revolution it would be essential that anyone who hadn't heard it from truthful Cubans who witnessed it, or had invested the time to start researching would never know. Cuban/U.S. ACTUAL history has been either twisted or not mentioned at all.
Invest the time to read the speech if you are concerned, remembering you can read a lot more quickly than people speak, or look up any parts you question in research, and start your own investigation. You will be amazed at what you will find, once your intention is committed. Why be played any longer?
Here's the copy of the speech I saw first, and if you doubt it, look for others, and make sure they aren't "interpreted" for you by special interests, since the last thing they want is for you to know the truth. Having enemies has been required so long.
