More than 1000 community leaders, human rights defenders assassinated during Colombia’s peace process: report
by Adriaan Alsema August 24, 2020

At least 1,000 of Colombia’s human rights defenders and community leaders have been assassinated since the beginning of a peace process in late 2016, according to a conflict monitoring NGO.

The assassinated leader who became the 1000th victims of what increasingly begins to look like a genocide was Fabio Andres Gomez, a farming community leader from Argelia, a town in the southwestern Cauca province, according to Indepaz.

Gomez was assassinated on Tuesday in the province that has been hardest hit by the mass killings that has mainly been targeting indigenous leaders, who have claimed the killings are part of an attempted extinction.

The killings picked up after the FARC‘s disarmament and really got out of control in 2018, the year congressional and presidential elections were held.

Just making one more Jack Ryan reference tonight.

The show that purports to be upholding the principles of democracy was shot in Colombia.

Production for season two began in the summer of 2018 in Europe, South America, and the United States. Shooting locations included Bogota, Colombia (standing in for Venezuela)

It's a shame most US citizens wouldn't know it from a documentary! OMG.

You might remember, back when George W. Bush was in the White House, some company hatched a new battle game, in which the objective was to somehow kidnap or kill the Venezuelan President, during Hugo Chavez' time in office, when George W. Bush started going after him.

Bush's dad, being the former CIA head, and son to Preston Bush, who owned a lot of land in Cuba, along with the other grandfather, Barbara's father, meant George H W Bush was involved in Cuba, and other parts of Latin America ages ago, and their entire goal was to keep ALL leftist democratically elected Presidents out of the states which elected them. Everyone was all ready for Hugo Chavez the minute he started campaigning for office, like all the others.

So it means people in Washington D.C. have been trying to overthrow any and all leftist who ever gets elected as a leader in Venezuela, or any other Latin American country.

Not so democratic, is it?

Saw the video clip, it's exactly as horrible as one would expect. So damned sad there's no law against companies making merchandise which not only makes them rich, but also lies to the customers who buy it. Dirty business.
