Supreme Court Confirms Decision that Declared Moro Was Biased in Case of Lula
Losers, Marco Aurélio and Fux make emphatic defense of former judge and operation Car Wash

The Supreme Court confirmed in a 7 to 4 the decision that former judge Sergio Moro was biased in conducting the Guarujá (SP) triplex case, which led to former president Lula (PT) being imprisoned for 580 days.
The court already had a majority in this regard, but the votes of justice Marco Aurélio and chief justice Luiz Fux were still missing. Both voted to overturn the class's decision, but seven other ministers had already taken the opposite stance.
Gilmar Mendes, Ricardo Lewandowski, Carmen Lúcia, Dias Toffoli, Kassio Nunes Marques, Alexandre de Moraes and Rosa Weber stated that the plenary could not revoke the decision of the Second Panel.
Justices Edson Fachin, Luís Roberto Barroso, Marco Aurélio and Fux were defeated. They argued that because the court recognized the territorial incompetence of the Federal Court in Paraná to act in Lula's cases, which led to the annulment of his convictions, Moro's performance in these cases could not be analyzed.
On social media, Moro praised the votes of the four justices and said that their position corresponds "to the facts that took place."
