Anyone Who Contests Election in Undemocratic Acts Will Be Treated as Criminals, Says Justice

Chief Justice of the Supreme electoral court, Alexandre Moraes, says that those responsible for coup-mongering acts against the election results will be severely punished

The president of the TSE (Supreme Electoral Court), Chief Justice Alexandre de Moraes, called the Bolsonarist groups that contest the electoral victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) criminals and said that they will be punished.

"The voters, in overwhelming majority, are Democrats. They democratically accepted the result of the elections. Those who are not accepting criminally, those who are criminally practicing undemocratic acts will be treated as criminals", said Moraes in a session of the court this Thursday (3). The court ruled that Lula was elected president on Sunday (30), with 50.9% of the votes, against 49.1% for Bolsonaro.
