Beware of product reviews on Amazon.....

Was looking at something on Amazon, which has lots of positive reviews, and decided to check out the reviewers, which you can do by clicking on their name.
Many of the reviewers apparently wrote 10-12 product reviews in one day.
Product after product all reviewed on same day, with some phrases identical in all reviews.
So for instance, one reviewer wrote 10 reviews on Dec. 10, and then again on Jan. 15th for different products.

Normally you find reviews from the same customer with 1-2 reviews on one date, then a review a few days later, then one a week or more later.
But I am finding dozens of reviews by reviewers written all the dame day.

Check it out next time you are product searching on amazon for a popular item.

Perhaps I am wrong, but, I do not think all of those are legit.

Of course, I do not know for sure. If one thinks the reviews are totally objective and fair, perhaps ok. But if they all have the same slant and some of the same words. sounds phony to me. I am sure that companies pay for good reviews on a site like Amazon...Why?

When a bad review comes in, the company knows that that could be very bad for business. So they hire to a company that specializes in neutralizing bad reviews and bad reputations on the net. Yes, there are such companies, and I am sure they hire people to write reviews to counter the bad ones..

sequentially dated reviews.....4-5 good reviews on Marc 4, and 4-5 good reviews on March 5, and March 6, etc.
So I checked the names of the reviewers and the majority of them just happened to have written lots of reviews at one time.
the extra kicker was one reviewer who wrote very short one sentence reviews, for a lot of products.

It was pretty obvious, because when you find a real reviewer, that is a person who buys 1-2 items at a time, then it might be weeks before they write a review again.
