Rick Woldenberg, one of the plaintiffs who helped take down Trump's tariffs, speaks to DW - DW News

Meet Illinois toymaker Rick Woldenberg — one of the plaintiffs who successfully challenged President Donald Trump’s tariff authority before the US Supreme Court. After his company was hit hard by tariffs on toys imported from China, he joined the case that ultimately helped bring them down. Now, he speaks to DW about the fight.

Meanwhile, European leaders are preparing a coordinated response to Donald Trump’s latest move on trade tariffs. The US President is planning a new worldwide 15% levy after the US Supreme Court struck down most of his previous tariffs. Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz has warned that the constant uncertainty surrounding tariffs is harmful to both the European and US economies.
