1. Snapshots of the two graphs
Sun Sep 15, 2019, 03:51 PM
Sep 2019

I made imgur snapshots of the graphs just to preserve them. These are snapshots I made 9/15 3:30 PM ET. I show them just to show the difference between the two graphs --

The first graph is from the OP above. It lists the Friday 9/13 closing statistics below the graph, listing the close as 27,219.52. But the last candle in the graph is clearly below the 27,000 line. It matches the 9/10 Open High Low Close as discussed in https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1116&pid=86535

============================================
The second graph is where I clicked on this link: https://kshitij.com/graph-gallery/equities/dowjones-candles-Daily
and made a snapshot of the graph there. The graph is up to date -- all the way through the Friday 9/13 close

2. The problem is on your end
Sun Sep 15, 2019, 09:39 PM
Sep 2019

I don't know what it is or how to fix it, but the graph shows correct on the OP ***when viewed on my computer.*** That's the only thing I have to go by.

I show the DJIA graph with the long green candle for 9/11, followed by the two little ones for 9/12 and 9/13, exactly as shown on the second image in your reply.

I'm still seeing what I show in the top image of my #1 -- the last candle being below 27,000...

I started an OP asking what others see -- https://www.democraticunderground.com/111686541

I see the old outdated first image in Chrome, my usual browser. But I decided to try Internet Explorer and it shows the 2nd image (well they updated the trend lines since I took the snapshots).

Shoot, I like Chrome better, but well, that's the way it goes.

I'm not a tech person, so I can't even begin to explain it.

I hope you get some response from others who know more than I do! We should be able to view the thread accurately no matter what browser we use!

FBaggins in https://www.democraticunderground.com/111686541 was very helpful.

Yup. Oh well. But what works (in Chrome) is switching to Incognito Mode (what some other browsers call "In Private browsing" or some-such). Unfortunately if I'm in regular Chrome mode and viewing an SMW thread, its a 2 step process:

Control Shift N to open a new Incognito window, and then I copy and paste the SMW URL into it's address window. Sigh. I am somewhat hopeful that I might come across some trick that makes it a simple one-step operation.

Why Incognito Mode works and regular mode (in Chrome) doesn't work has something to do with the cache or something, I infer from something that FBaggins wrote ... I will also try emptying my cache and that might make it work for awhile.
