Import prices increase 1.1% in May on higher nonfuel prices; export prices rise 2.2%

Prices for U.S. imports increased 1.1 percent in May following a 0.8-percent advance in April. Export prices rose 2.2 percent in May, after increasing 1.1 percent the previous month. Over the past year, import prices advanced 11.3 percent and export prices rose 17.4 percent.
