Bluffs restaurant worker burned in fryer

An 18-year-old working at a Council Bluffs restaurant suffered burns to his arm and side Monday night when he slipped and his arm went into a deep-fat fryer, authorities said.

The Texas Roadhouse employee was in critical condition with second-degree burns over 20 percent of his body, according to 911 dispatch reports.

1. We had that happen to a man who fell into a vat

for making potato chips. He lived through it (I have no idea how) but was hospitalized for a couple years with skin grafts and plastic surgery. He had the best attitude anyone could imagine.

He won his lawsuit and moved to California where he was hit by a vehicle as he crossed the street, and was killed.

I hope this young man recovers quickly. I can't even imagine the horror.
