Why are you here? (again)

I haven't been by in a while, actually because my job is eating me alive. But now that we have the poll function, I wanted to ask again what you'd most like to get out of this group and why you're checking in here.

because I'm currently dealing with having one definite job-offer and one that keeps stringing me along. Guess which one is HR.

I found one older thread about why HR might be acting this way, though I have no idea what's the case in my current situation with them (I'm unemployed.) If I don't get something from my recruiter from them by this afternoon, I'll likely take the other position for a little less pay, but immediate results. The other one has had six weeks to figure out if they want me or not.
