Latest Republican bill to ban critical race theory in Arizona is … racist

The Republican lawmakers trying to outlaw the teaching of critical race theory in Arizona schools don’t even have the guts to call it critical race theory.
Those words never appear in House Bill 2112, which Arizona Teachers United calls “The Teacher Gag Bill.”
Because it is. Even though the bill’s language is so jumbled and obtuse as to appear unenforceable. And in some ways just plain silly, since critical race theory is taught at the university level but not in grade schools or even much at high schools, which the bill aims at.
The proposal includes fines for schools and the potential for teachers to lose their credentials for things like, “instruction that presents any form of blame or judgment based on race, ethnicity or sex.”

Would a teacher get into trouble for violating the law’s prohibition against “any form of blame or judgment based on race, ethnicity or sex” by pointing out it was men who kept women from having the right to vote prior to passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution in 1919?
