November Arctic ice extent finished with the 2nd lowest level in the satellite era

Total of 10.11 million sq km is less than 200 thousand above the 2016 record and 1.6 million sq km below the average 30 November extent. November extent grew 1.2 million sq km more than the long term average for the month, but that just shows how low the extent actually was this year.
