worn an weary “training” strategy to help those affected by this. Helping people is what our party is about. I don’t have the answer, but training alone isn’t what coal workers want to hear. I wonder whether a targeted UBI strategy would work. Can it be financed in part by corporate and owner assets? Something like this together with substantial policy and financial investments into green energy and other sustainable industry in coal country would go a long way to stabilizing and bettering these communities and might actually even create more Democrats.
