4 Straight Days W. Highs Above 115F In Phoenix; Friday's Overnight Low Was 92F

Phoenix reached 117 degrees on Friday, setting another heat record, according to the National Weather Service in Phoenix. Friday's heat also marks the earliest occurrence of four consecutive days of at least 115 degrees, according to the Weather Service.

Excessive heat has also extended to the nighttime. Phoenix's low temperature on Friday was 92 degrees. If it holds, it would break the previous record-warm low by four degrees and would mark the third warmest low ever in June, according to the weather service. The Weather Service advised a "Very High Heat Risk" to continue through the weekend as temperatures are expected be at least nine degrees above normal.

The high-temperature Saturday is forecast to be 116, dropping just a degree on Sunday to 115, the Weather Service reported.

Heat relief should come Monday as temperatures and extreme heat drop to "Moderate" levels, according to the Weather Service. The high-temperature Monday is expected to be 109.
