Number of weather disasters and CO2 PPM over time

I recently finished listening to the audiobook "How To Talk To a Science Denier"... I highly recommend it.
One thing it claimed was that "graphs work". Interesting... OK; there was something I've always been meaning to find.
So I went online and searched for something that showed CO2 concentration and the number of weather disasters over time, but for some reason it was hard to find, so I ended up making my own by overlaying and rescaling two separate graphs that I found online. The wiggly line is the carbon PPM. I deliberately chose .GOV sources for maximum credibility. Yes, I know the classic rule that correlation doesn't imply causation. But FWIW....

likely be in the trillions very soon, but it still won't be seen as a crisis.
