So far, the whole message has been it'll be hotter, we'll have to stay inside more, get air conditioning, move away from coastlines, drive electric vehicles, etc.

The first hint of a food shortage problem caused by climate change I have personally heard in the major media was on NPR -- the mustard crop failure in Canada due to the heat dome. Because of that France finds itself in a major mustard shortage (they eat a huge amount of mustard per capita, mostly imported from Canada).

We're bound to ultimately see wild temperature swings causing crop failures in wheat, corn, soybeans.

So I guess this is a little step in the right direction for reporting.
