This is definitely going to shame all those grocery store employees to stop ruining the planet

Okay now folks in the UK who want a plant-based future are doing milk dumps at the grocery store. Curious to know what folks think about this.

1. It is vandalism. Effective protest? I think no more than throwing tomato soup on Van Gogh's

sunflowers, albeit a hell of a lot less outrageous.

When you have a good cause but refuse to find ways to get your message across that doesn't infuriate those who would be your allies, you have LOST. Not sure why some don't get that.

I just don't find it credible that the people doing this are long time, sincere climate or animal activists. Sure seems like this is designed to create a backlash against sensible moves toward a more animal friendly world.

Just guessing...

All this accomplishes is making the poor workers clean this mess up. It would piss me off so much that I would actually INCREASE my eating of animals and animal based products.

I know I sound like an idiot, but I don't care. I don't think this "protest" is accomplishing what they want it to.

I work as a cashier, so I probably wouldn’t have to clean it up, but one of my great coworkers would, and that would be disgusting. This does not accomplish anything.

Spoiled little brats hope they are charged sit in jail for a few weeks and are fined for the cost of the milk and the cost to clean up with an additional fee to feed the hungry.

11. They are promoting almond milk, oat milk, rice milk, soy milk etc.

I’m all for promoting plant milks, but absolutely do not support this approach. While it will get attention, it will be negative attention and not convince anyone of the benefits of switching to plant milk.

Just don’t get how you milk an oat or a soybean. Also have a gallon of 2%.

Nothing like wasting a staple that’s often essential to family diets so you can ruin the day of low-income workers who have to clean this up, all to try and prove a point that would almost surely be communicated more effectively through other means. Hell yeah

Milk Pours are currently happening across the UK. All are concerned individuals calling on the government to give us a livable future, a #PlantBasedFuture

Here's the latest milk pour happening in Edinburgh @waitrose
