Joe Biden dragged Representative Lauren Boebert on Wednesday for celebrating the benefits of his clean energy initiatives after voting against them in Congress.
Biden spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony for a wind tower manufacturing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He hailed advancements in clean energy and how addressing climate change was also creating new jobs. Biden also noted that a wind energy plant for CS Wind is being built in Pueblo, Colorado. Both projects received funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, which almost every single Republican in Congress voted against.
Coincidentally, CS Wind is Congresswoman Lauren Boebertyou know, the very quiet Republican lady?its in her district, Biden said. Who, along with every other Republican, voted against this bill. And its making all this possible. And she railed against its passage. But, thats OK, shes welcoming it now.

This isnt the first time Biden has called out Republicans for trying to claim wins from policies they voted against. In June, Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville celebrated a $1.4 billion investment to expand broadband access in his state, a major tenet of Bidens Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

(22,670 posts)Biden just clubbed Beobart and all republicans over the head. They all voted against the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and now they're all praising something that wouldn't have happened if not for more democrats than republicans voting for it.
Vote all these republicans out ones and for all!!!
Biden's making America great again!!!

The right needs to keep getting called out on their bullshit - especially all those assholes who voted against the recovery act but are now claiming success for all the money coming into their districts.

Biden referred to Tuberville ― who is currently blocking U.S. military promotions to protest abortion policy ― as the distinguished senator from the state of Alabama, who used to be a pretty good football coach.
Like Boebert, Tuberville was against the bill.
Then I noticed he had a big announcement: Alabamas going to get 1 billion, 200 million dollars ... and I thought, 'Wait a minute! Didnt he rail against that for a long, long time?
Indeed he did, as Tuberville voted against the bill that included the money for the broadband expansion he touted, then celebrated it in a big announcement.
