Related: About this forumAPI to Obama: You can't regulate fracking.
American Petroleum Institute President Jack Gerard.
"Two pro-business energy leaders said Wednesday that federal regulations and taxes are putting the U.S. oil and gas industry at risk, delaying the creation of jobs and technological innovation.
<>
Both Gerard and Harbert touted the potential that growth in the energy sector has for the overall economy. They urged President Barack Obama and federal regulators to be welcoming to ideas from the industry.
You cant be for the potential energy development in the United States and be against hydraulic fracturing, Gerard said. You fundamentally cant regulate the very technology that has created the potential and deny the ability to use that in places where we can see job creation, revenue creation.

It's just part of their ongoing campaign to saturate the media and public understanding with their vile propaganda and lies.
Obama has bent over backward to give them everything they want despite the pleas of local citizens groups trying to protect our water and health.

(10,745 posts)3. Jack Gerard needs to STFU.
And in fact, what has happened when regulations have been ignored? Just look at the BP Oil Spill along the Gulf Coast.
