Koch-Funded Study Finds 2.5F Warming of Land Since 1750 is Manmade

http://www.nationofchange.org/koch-funded-study-finds-25-degrees-fahrenheit-warming-land-1750-manmade-solar-forcing-does-not-appea

This Koch-funded reanalysis of millions of temperature observations from around the world, “A New Estimate of the Average Earth Surface Land Temperature Spanning 1753 to 2011,” concludes: solar forcing does not appear to contribute to the observed global warming of the past 250 years; the entire change can be modeled by a sum of volcanism and a single anthropogenic (human-made) proxy.

It's surely significant that the Berkeley results are published in "Geoinformatics and Geostatistics," a brand-new journal - so new, in fact, that the BEST paper is the only research article in its very first issue!

I wonder where else they might have previously attempted to publish. In a way, it's a tough "sell" since on many levels it's "me-too" research. The case for novelty lies mainly in details of their statistical approach, and it's never been clear to me how much weight that would carry with editors and referees.

I wonder who organized and funded the journal, and what its future is.
