Got a pair of Drifire jeans at a

yard sale today. Never heard of them. They were brand new in original bag for $6.
Permanent Fire Risistant, Moisture Management and Antimicrobial, No-Melt, No-Drip, etc, etc.
look nice and my size 5 pocket jeans. Googled them and they retail for $60 to $99. I find stuff I didn’t know I need.

Hiking pants, summer, lightweight. Went to the thrift store yesterday and just on a whim decided to look at pants. I look at pants about three times a year, and there were several pair of high end, name brand pants, just what I wanted and in my size. I left at least as many pair there, I just needed a few to bolster my summer stock. They retail for as much as the pants you got! Now I don't need to do that again for a long time, unless I gain a lot of weight.

I work in a used clothing and stuff store where we go through everything that is donated and the money that is raised goes to the food pantry. We are allowed a certain amount of "goodies" that we are allowed to take home and we get first dibs on things while we work... I have not bought many new things in years (except underwear and socks). It's a way to get "new" clothes and I have a high turnover in my closet because if I didn't take things back in, it would overwhelm my closet space. So if you have any places nearby and a spare few hours, it's worth it.

Joined the local Lions Club. They a resale shop I work at 2 days a month.
Everything is donated and gone thru. Every thing that isn’t in great condition, we send a long to the Starvation Army.
All the money goes to the community. Schools, parks and scholarships to local students. Plus we send along eyeglasses to Third World Countries. Really pretty famous for our eyeglass charity. If you ever. Have any old ones, drop them off at a Lions Club.
I get 90% of my stuff at that place and yard sales. My wife gets about 50% of hers.
Kind of a hobby for this old fart.
Our Lions Club averages almost a grand a day in sales, 6 days a week.
