My oldest daughter just visited 'The Gentle Barn' in St. Louis
She and her husband went, and my daughter had a picture of her and Chico, the ringleader of the St. Louis Six. Very sweet. A great story about the Gentle Barn and the St. Louis Six --

Where is the new location? Always looking for organizations to give to that support animal rights.
The Gentle Barn website only lists the Tennessee and California locations. Thanks!

(5,589 posts)4. Oh! You are right!
My daughter and her husband live in middle Tennessee. The Gentle Barn is in Christiana, a town just South of Murfreesboro.
I wondered how they had time to make that trip!
Thanks!

These cattle are born female but with male characteristics due to a hormonal imbalance. They are sterile with no or little commercial value, normally they are put down.
The refuge facility also has rescued chickens, turkeys and ducks. Almost all fell out of slaughter trucks.
