Planned high-level talks between South and North Korea after a nearly six-year hiatus were scrapped after North Korea objected to the diplomatic rank of the South's chief delegate. North Korea's earlier offer for talks came as a surprise after weeks of bombastic threats to obliterate the South and launch a nuclear strike against the United States. North Korea had said the South's choice of delegate was a “grave provocation.“ The North is seeking to reopen lucrative business deals and the South is trying to mend ties with its unpredictable and heavily armed neighbor.

1. Someone has to coin a new word or concept

for NK behavior of this sort. We've used paranoid, schizophrenic, childish tantrum, super-sensitive, national lunacy, megalomania, extortion state, militaristic madness... but none of these depict the kind of crazy that exudes from this regime.

Any ideas?

ya think maybe some of the World might have this opinion of the USA?

well, just the ones they invade, bomb the shit out of and have military bases in, sanction, etc.,

don't think NK has military outside their own country - and don't remember them invading anyone in the last few decades. .

despite their rhetoric, also can't remember them bombing anyone lately - - -
