Kim jong un's mother

Kim Jong-un's mother was opera singer Ko Young-hee, who had two other children and is thought to have campaigned for Kim Jong-un to be his father's successor before her death in 2004. Within North Korea she is known as “The Respected Mother who is the Most Faithful and Loyal 'Subject' to the Dear Leader Comrade Supreme Commander,” “The Mother of Pyongyang,” and “The Mother of Great Songun Korea.” Ko was born in Japan in 1953. She moved to North Korea with her family in 1960. In the early 1970s, she began to work as a dancer for the Mansudae Art Troupe in Pyongyang. It is told that Kim Jong-il stripped down all of the art troupe, and chose Ko Young-hee as his wife. This is how corrupt North Korea is.
