Associated Press= WASHINGTON (AP) - Leading U.S. senators say Iran must end all uranium enrichment, potentially putting them at odds with the Obama administration ahead of new nuclear talks.
In a letter to President Barack Obama, six Democrats and four Republicans support this week's negotiations in Geneva. They also seek tougher sanctions on Iran and a convincing threat of U.S. military force.
But the most contentious demand concerns enrichment. The legislators including Sen. Bob Menendez, the Foreign Relations chairman, and Sen. John McCain insist Iran shouldn't able to continue enriching uranium inside Iran.

(13,685 posts)We have seen what happened with Chernobyl in Russia, Fukushima in Japan, and TMI right here. The consequences of trying to control such a dangerous thing has global ramifications, and that's not even considering that nuclear weapons are also possible.
No more nukes. We can't live with them.

Given Iran's past record, it should not be allowed to enrich uranium. Instead, Iran could possibly buy energy from nearby states.
Giving Iran a free hand on uranium enrichment would most probably end in weaponization.
