Related: About this forum65 new infection cases found on Yokohama ship
NHK 6 hours ago
Sixty-five more people on board a quarantined cruise ship at Yokohama Port have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. That brings the total number of cases on the vessel to 135.
People with confirmed infections will be hospitalized, as were cases discovered earlier.
The large number of patients means some will be treated locally while others will be sent to nearby prefectures.
The health ministry will continue to quarantine around 3,600 passengers and crew who remain on the liner until February 19.
But the top government spokesperson says it will be difficult to test everyone on the ship.

A South Korean broadcaster MBC reported today, that passengers on the Diamond Princess are complaining of extremely inadequate medical support, indequate information as to what is going on causing anxiety among passengers, neglect of symptomatic patients, and uncertainty about how long they will be subject to quarantine. As of the time of these reports patients recently confirmed to have the virus have not yet been removed from the ship for hospitalization. The Japanese Ministry of Labor, Welfare, and Health apparently is in the process of organizing facilities to accept new patients.

Coronavirus infection tally on Diamond Princess hits 136 as tests for all passengers eyed
KYODO, STAFF REPORT Japan Times Feb 10
...Earlier in the day, the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry had said it was considering testing all of the now roughly 3,600 people aboard when the two-week quarantine ends on Feb. 19. Once their results are clear, they would be permitted to disembark.
No timeline was given for the process.
The ministry had said earlier that disembarkation might be possible on Feb. 19 but the passengers would have to wait for results.
We need to properly address the unease and concerns of our citizens, health minister Katsunobu Kato said.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Monday that it might be difficult to test everyone aboard the ship.

Confining everyone like that is guaranteed to spread the virus. Food needs to be delivered to the staterooms. Probably daily housekeeping is still happening. So while guests aren't mingling with each other, crew members are mingling with guests and returning to the crew areas.
Heck, the math involved to estimate how long it will take for every person on the ship to test positive for the corona virus (whether or not they show symptoms) is an equation I'd like to see.
This quarantine is an exercise in ignorance and futility.
