Pussy Riot member urges Russia Olympics boycott

A member of Russian punk band Pussy Riot has called for foreign countries to boycott February's Winter Olympics, hours after she was freed from jail.

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova dismissed the amnesty law that set her free, saying it was a "cosmetic measure".

She and band-mate Maria Alyokhina, who was also freed, said the prison system needed wider reform and promised to continue anti-government action.

They were jailed in 2012 after singing a protest song in a Moscow cathedral.

Does nothing to the Russian government and has no political value.

We did that in the 80's.

there's too much money involved, from the TV Nets to the companies who are waiting to shark sponsorships from medal "winners" of the gold variety, there's just too much influence in too many high places.
Personally, I don't think anybody from any country ought to show up at Vlad's winter beauty pageant. But, as the IOC and their registered trademark have absolutely no guts of any kind, shape, or form, all of it will go ahead, without any interruption, and certainly without any conscience.
