If China decides to invade Taiwan, strategic surprise would be a casualty of the sheer scale of the undertaking...it would be known months prior to initiation of hostilities. It would be a national, all-of-regime undertaking. Great piece by

and there is growing unrest from the citizens. I don’t see any military moves by China in the next few years.

Statement saying they were toning down their drills and rhetoric sighting there was no hurry, Taiwan would eventually become part of China. They always think the long game.
