Caspian Sea turns into battlefield - Eastern Express - TVP WORLD
The Caspian Sea is becoming a military corridor instead of a trade route. Russia and Iran are moving weapons and launching strikes from a body of water meant to stay insulated from major conflict. In response, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan are expanding their navies and aligning more closely with Turkey and NATO standards.
Three rival blocs are now forming around the Caspian, raising the risk of clashes and scaring off commercial shipping. What happens in this inland sea could reshape Eurasian trade routes far beyond its shores.
