Tax trial confirmed for Spain's Princess Cristina

A Spanish court has dropped money-laundering charges against Princess Cristina, the sister of King Felipe VI.

However, the high court in Palma de Mallorca said it would continue with a prosecution for tax fraud.

The charges relate to the business dealings of her husband, Inaki Urdangarin.

Many Spaniards have recently lost confidence in the monarchy following a series of scandals, including Princess Cristina's case.
