Germany looks unlikely to host a Formula One Grand Prix this year according to the sport's boss, Bernie Ecclestone. The main reasons are a lack of fans and financing issues. But there is still hope, Ecclestone says.

Germany may miss out on hosting Formula One race in 2015
03.02.2015

Bernie Ecclestone has called into question whether Germany will host a Formula One race this coming F1 season, following questioning by German media.

Speaking to Germany's "Bild" newspaper on Tuesday, Ecclestone said, "It doesn't look good, but we are trying to rescue it."

On Monday, Ecclestone had told German newspaper "Rhein Zeitung" that no F1 race would be hosted in Germany in 2015 because "the visitor numbers were so poor in recent years that it is not economically viable."

He also confirmed a fax had been sent to the paper in response to a query but denied the matter had been decided.

Every racing-team has a diagnosis- and workshop- trailer-truck. Everything you need for maintenance and diagnosis of your race-car, it's in there.

Those trailers are custom-built. A friend of my brother is in a company building them and they put the best of the best equipment in there. State-of-the-art. The finest money can get, from large-scale PC-monitors better suited for a command-center, to a huge tent (with AC!) unfolding from the trailer via hydraulics. Such a trailer costs millions of euros. (One time, a racing team ordered two trailers. You would park them next to each other, remove the walls in the middle and bridge the gap by extending a floor-section.)

And every racing-team that orders its truck at this company orders a new one each season.
Why? The equipment is still superb, even if it's a year old.
No. They want to show off to the OTHER racing-teams: "Look at our shiny brand-new truck which is even shinier and brand-newer than our truck from last season."
