The year is 2005. An Armored Corps battalion is stationed in the West Bank, near Nablus. Its goal? To protect the Trans-Samaria Highway from terrorists.
"We would go into the villages on a daily basis, two-three times a day at least, to demonstrate our presence," one of the soldiers says. "To show that we are here, that (the land) is ours and not yours.

"The IDF treats Palestinian children differently from the way that Israeli society treats its kids," she says.
Activists are to hand out copies of the report outside high schools starting next week. The group is aware that some of the teens might disregard the brochure, but Golan says that even if they read just a testimony or two in the privacy of their own home, the group's goal would be served.
"We dont own the truth. This is the entire Israeli society's truth. This is the reality. If the Palestinian children are old enough to live this reality, then our teens are old enough to be familiar with it as well, and be ready to cope with it during their army service," she says.

note my first comment was that the picture was not part of the article-my mistake that said let's take a look at the other pictures not chosen for some reason

(28,151 posts)There were other pictures too, mostly featuring soldiers and Palestinian kids. It was a good article, I hope many go and read it.

(45,850 posts)in which Palestinian children were blamed for being injured by an Israeli motorist and the poster that made the comment has a habit of attempting to de-rail threads by such tactics

(58,724 posts)The photo is from the actual article.
An article which you "skillfully edited" to avoid any reference to what one sees in the photo.
Thankfully, the article does a fine job of presenting a more balanced perspective.
Hopefully people will take the time to read the actual article instead of falling for your habit of attempting to reshape articles through cuts and omissions to make them say only what you want them to say.

(45,850 posts)and yes there was some stuff about how hated IDF is in the West Bank by Palestinians with lengthy expalnations as to why that is including home takeovers by members of IDF and just plain old brutality
we are limited to 4 paragraphs 5 if one is only a single sentence at least it seems that way however in recent weeks you have made the author of article the issue several times, rather than discussing what the author says

(58,724 posts)You chose those 4 paragraphs very carefully.
Also, I've noticed that 4 paragraph "rule" is not always followed here these days.

(2,927 posts)... does the woman in that car that those "children" are trying to murder belong to the IDF? If so, how could they tell, she's in mufti. It appears to me that they're just trying to murder a plain, old everyday Israeli civilian.
I thought you said Palestinian children only hate IDF?

(45,850 posts)it also appears that there is a cement pillar growing out the car roof but is also outside the window, it is a creative photo indeed almost as creative as interpretation of my my words the addition of 'only' was yours I did not say only IDF the article was about IDF however
