PLO Charges Israel With ‘War Crimes, Anti-Human, Racist Acts’

The PLO leadership on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Israel and threatened to go to international agencies to punish it for its “war crimes, anti-human, racist acts and violations of international laws.”

The attack came during a meeting in Ramallah of the PLO Executive Committee under the chairmanship of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

The PLO leaders said they would not accept a situation where the peace talks with Israel, which resumed recently, would become a “political cover for the implementation of the largest settlement project.”

They accused the government of working toward undermining “all prospects for peace.”

Referring to recent Israeli plans to build housing units in settlements and east Jerusalem neighborhoods, the PLO leaders said: “The PLO Executive Committee considers the unprecedented settler decisions which were announced by the occupation government as conclusive proof that Israel’s first and last option remains expansionism, Judaization and theft of Palestinian land, and not ending occupation and implementing the two-state solution on the basis of the 1967 borders.”

“If you insist on big principles, then you will miss the essential — the essential being putting Egypt back on track at whatever cost. First, save what you can, and then deal with democracy and freedom and so on.

At least this time there will be no need for retractions , it pretty clear cut I'm Syria and Egypt .

( of course no Jews live there so I guess there won't be any major push for anything )

You seem so very eager to talk about Egypt and Syria. Like, literally falling all over yourself to talk about 'em. Well... GD and LBN have plenty of threads about the situation in both nations. I count seven just on the front page of LBN right now. Might be more when I'm done typing this. If you're curious about my position on these situations, all it takes is a little reading.

Now the odd thing; even though you're so very concerned about the situations in Syria and Egypt, you don't talk about them. Ever. I've never, ever seen you involved in a thread that touches on the subject. In fact the only time you've posted is as you have here, in response to a story about Israel.

I've seen this bullshit "concern" before. Actually, that entire thread is fucking hilarious. Totally worth it just for "flotilla to Tibet."

Anyway. Like I pointed out to those two, your "concern" only seems to manifest when you use it in an effort to defend or deflect from Israel. Like those two, I have to conclude that your "concern" is a complete sham. It is simply another example of you exploiting one group of victims in an effort to justify the victimization of others.

If you want to have a discussion on Syria and Egypt, the venues are all out there. Hell, you could even start your own "Egypt and Syria as related to Israeli and Palestine" thread here on I/P, though I doubt it would be any more interesting or enlightening than any other thread on I/P. This thread is about the PLO levying charges against Israel. I'm sure you have something loud and noxious to say about that.
