Roger Waters calls on fellow musicians to boycott Israel

British rocker Roger Waters published an open letter calling on fellow musicians to join a boycott of Israel.

The letter, which condemns Israel for apartheid and ethnic cleansing, has been expected for several months, according to the Electronic Intifada, which first reported on its existence.

“I write to you now, my brothers and sisters in the family of Rock and Roll, to ask you to join with me, and thousands of other artists around the world, to declare a cultural boycott on Israel,” Waters wrote in the letter dated Aug. 18. The letter was previously drafted in July.

Guns: The ongoing national debate over gun laws that has occurred since Sandy Hook is big news; discussion of gun control and related issues is currently permitted in GD. Gun porn, local gun-crime stories, and other narrowly-focused gun topics are not permitted.

eta by extension the same would for Palestine however if it involves Islam then it becomes religion so again no go

Once upon a time, Refaeli was clearly a big Waters fan. Back in July 2011, after attending a concert in Paris, Refaeli tweeted the following after she spotted her image in a Waters show.

“Crazy thing… Went to the Roger Waters show in Paris, and saw a pic of myself on the wall!!! #respect!!! I’m honored.”

Now, following Waters’ clear pro-boycott stance and active efforts on behalf of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, she’s changed her tune, and wants her image out of Waters’ show.

the show it was in was 2 years ago and a different tour, so it seems noise over nothing, but it get her name in the press again didn't it?
