Syrians targeted Israeli patrol on Golan with bomb: Israel
JERUSALEM Sat Dec 7, 2013 8:59am EST
(Reuters) - The Israeli army said on Saturday that an Israeli military vehicle had been damaged by a bomb set off by Syrians on frontier of the occupied Golan Heights.
The attack on Friday was thought to be the first targeted bombing of Israeli forces since the start of Syria's civil war although the army could not confirm that was the case.
The vehicle was damaged but nobody was hurt.
A military spokeswoman said the explosion was caused by a concealed device placed on the Syrian side of the frontier fence but it was unclear which of the Syrian factions were responsible.

(1,528 posts)1. I guess they are angry that...
Israel is treating Syria's war victims with free advanced medical care.
Or maybe they are upset that Israel delivered a Syrian mothers baby on Israel soil and the child is now an Israeli citizen.

Wrong.
Even a half-Syrian child born to an Israeli mother will not qualify for Israeli citizenship, although the child would be permitted to remain in Israel until the age of twelve. In fact, even if the Syrian mother married an Israeli citizen, she would not be entitled to remain in Israel.
She is Syrian, and therefore considered an enemy of the State of Israel.

Israel has treated 450 people. Lets put that in perspective:-
Numbers of Syrian refugees resident in various countries:-
Lebanon 793,615
Jordan 545,035
Turkey 504,419
Egypt 300,000
Iraq 206,365
Algeria 25,000
Sweden 14,700
Germany 5,0008,000
Libya 4,716
Italy 4,600
Bulgaria More than 4,500
Argentina 300+ families
Gaza 1000
Armenia 3,248
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic 70 families (April 2013)
Russia 500
France 500
United States 100
Israel: zero
It should also be noted that not only have Israel refused to accept any Syrian refugees themselves, they have also refused to allow the West Bank Palestinians to accept any, unless those Palestinians relinquish their right of return.
