Thousands pray in Jerusalem streets amid new Aqsa restrictions

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Thousands of worshipers prayed in the streets of Jerusalem on Friday after Israeli authorities imposed new restrictions on Palestinians' right to pray inside the holy Al-Aqsa compound.

The compound -- which is the third holiest site in Islam -- was mostly empty on Friday after Israeli authorities prohibited all Palestinians under the age of 40 from praying there and set up barricades at the compound's entrances to limit their access.

Many worshipers prayed at the gates of the compound while others prayed at the entrances to the Old City, although a limited number were able to pray inside the Al-Aqsa compound.

The restrictions come only two weeks after Israeli authorities imposed similar restrictions, barring Palestinians under the age of 50 from praying in the compound. Those restrictions led to protests both in Palestine and abroad, as many feared such limitations were part of a broader strategy to limit Palestinian access to the compound.

and not really feeling like doing what you asked me to do.

I was just being helpful in telling anyone reading posts that those coming from maan may not be accurate nor credible and further maan has a history of publishing antiSemitic articles / blogs / comments.

My post was about maan's credibility or more precisely the lack thereof... Not some other tangent you wanted to take the conversation on. ( and I wouldn't oblige)

hold dear. An Israeli judge does not agree, not by any stretch of the imagination.
So enjoy your childish and empty bogus claims against Ma'an..I found it hilarious.

Woohoo, go Palwatch..losers/settlers and racists.

Israel court rejects media watchdog 'incitement' charge

TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma’an) -- A Tel Aviv district court has rejected legal claims against Palestinian officials accusing them of incitement against Israel which led to “terrorist” attacks against Israel and Israelis.

Judge Dalia Gannot strictly rejected the testimony of the founder and director of Palestinian Media Watch, an Israeli media watchdog group which monitors Palestinian media outlets and publishes reports about incitement against Israel.

Marcus was summoned as an expert witness by the complainant, an Israeli family whose son was killed in a shooting about 10 years earlier. But the judge deemed Marcus an “incompetent” witness.

The family’s attorney accused senior Palestinian officials including President Mahmoud Abbas of incitement against Israel which encouraged Palestinians to carry out attacks against Israelis, one of which led to the killing of a member of the family. The attorney claimed in his pleading that senior PA officials were indirectly responsible for the killing.

Judge dismisses credibility of Palestinian Media Watch testimony

An Israeli district court judge metes out scathing criticism of Palestinian Media Watch director Itamar Marcus’s expert witness testimony on incitement in Palestinian media, in a civil case against the PA and its leaders. Marcus’s testimony, Judge Dalia Gano wrote, was incomplete, biased and unworthy of the title “expert witness testimony.”
