Hamas Lawmaker: Koran Says We Must Massacre Jews

Source: Artuz Sheva

A lawmaker from Hamas recently called for a “massacre” of Jews, explaining that Koran indicates that this must be done.

In a televised address the lawmaker, Yunis Al-Astal, also said that Jews must be forced to pay the “jizya” tax, which under the strict Islamic Sharia doctrine, non-Muslims living under Muslim sovereignty must pay in return for the ruler's protection. Jihadist rebels who have taken control of areas in Syria have imposed such a tax on Christian minorities.

Yunis Al-Astal is a fucking nut, even by whatever loose standards we could expect from Hamas.

He believes Palestine will be the capital of a new caliphate... and that Palestinians need to conquer Rome in retaliation for the Pope visiting Jordan.

My conclusion is that he inhaled one too many rocket exhausts when he was part of the Qassam brigades.

Think Louis Gohmert or Michelle Bachman or any other dumb-as-moist-rocks legislator around the world.

And he is in a position to make laws. One would think that the people would remove him from power for such an outlandish and hateful expression. It takes more effort to hate than to make peace. And peace makes life much more pleasant.

There's also the whole problem with the PLA being pretty much frozen because of the Fatah-Hamas split, which forstalls any attempt at elections.

And if the PLA works anything like most parliamentary systems, the electorate votes for the party, and then the party makes appointments. it's not direct elections like in the US.

If he can get away with this, how likely would he be forgiven for something like an "honor killing" murder?
