...Israel's army said one rocket landed in an "urban area in Hebron," while two others struck the area of Bethlehem. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
Shortly before the rockets hit, air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem, just a few miles north of Bethlehem, before at least two explosions were heard. Palestinian security sources told AFP one rocket hit an inhabited area of Hebron, and another struck a house in the nearby village of Sair, to the south.

Looks like the PA controlled territories need their own Iron Dome to protect against Hamas.

(25,699 posts)i see a big multinational project. An extended "iron dome" system that covers Gaza, Israel, the west bank, GOlan, south Lebanon, and eastern Sinai. it will be manned and maintained by non-local UN forces - maybe get some dudes from Nepal, iceland, and Coasta Rica on there - and just blow up every damned rocket, bomb, missile, and shell that coems anywhere near these places.
I'd pitch my tax dollars in for that. How about you?

(30,109 posts)Israel won't depend on others to secure its safety for them, especially not the UN after it has failed miserably time after time to do so.

(25,699 posts)Should Israel trust Palestine to do it?
Would the two be able to work together?
No, on all three counts. So, get some people who aren't involved in there to shoot shit down. South Korea maybe, they know what it's like to have crazy assholes living next door.

(30,109 posts)....Iron Dome. It's not like any other nations there have been rocketed & mortared more than 10,000 times in the past decade by a neighboring country.

(25,699 posts)Think of it more like expanding what Israel established, rather than having Iron Dome: Egypt, Iron Dome: Palestine, etc.

(30,109 posts)They'd go to war against their enemy immediately.
It's why no western countries are buying into Iron Dome.
