Seeing rocket fire from Gaza as a counter-discourse. This method of resistance is less about fatalities than undermining privilege structures in an anti-colonial context.
Resistance rockets fired from the Gaza Strip provide a necessary counter-discourse. The Israeli Jewish public must understand that there shall be no security so long as they do not turn their anger and frustration at their very supremacist privilege and ideological system which is embodied in the Israeli government, left-wing, centrist, or right-wing. No one is asking them to leave, but they must accept Palestinian resistance insofar as they accept the arrogance which characterises the Zionist ideology. The radical potential of Palestinian rockets, of sirens going off, lies in these rockets' ability to disrupt a system of privilege which Israeli Jews enjoy at the expense of colonised and displaced Palestinians. Rockets, in other words, are a radical declaration of existence and unmediated expression of self-determination. Jacobins, too, must learn to understand this.

(1,053 posts)90% of your posts are filled with strawman arguments.
I honestly can't believe anyone whose "victim" card
is as worn out as yours can think it's totally A-OK to
bottle up a population (human beings) in a corral.
Or that the same person wouldn't have the logical
capacity to see exactly the sort of situations it would
lead to, namely violent resistance. And to cut off your
strawman's legs, no, I don't support Hamas, unguided
rocket strikes that could hit civilians, or any other
bullshit you wish and want to think I support.

(30,109 posts)The most critical, hostile voices against Israel mimic those of the BDS movement, ElectronicIntifada, & Mondoweiss. Nearly identical. All these hate groups came out today against the ceasefire, apparently deciding not enough Palestinian (and Israeli) blood has been shed despite all their fake concern throughout the last week for Palestinians.
They also run cover for Hamas war crimes (human shields) against the Palestinians they allegedly support. So these are not pro-Palestinians in any sense of the word. Hence, my attitude. I used to give the benefit of the doubt, but I can't do it anymore when I hear the same damned talking points, same droning on, same hateful bullshit.
What do u make of the OP? Do u simply disagree with it, or are u disgusted by it?
