Israeli forces disperse West Bank protests

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Hundreds of Palestinians protested across the occupied West Bank on Friday to call attention to Israel's efforts to confiscate their land.

The weekly marches protesting the Israeli occupation and land confiscation and condemning international silence toward the Palestinian cause set off after Friday prayer.

Dozens of Palestinians were injured with rubber-coated steel bullets and suffocated by tear gas grenades as Israeli forces dispersed a march in the village of Nabi Saleh near Ramallah.

Israeli soldiers used tear gas bombs, rubber-coated bullets, and live fire to suppress the march as protesters approached the village's entrance.

They churn out condemnation after condemnation and the US has no veto in the GA.

count, the US is a sure bet how it votes in the UNSC. You knew that, too.

The US never votes in agreement with the GA, either.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is “alarmed” by Israeli plans to expropriate 988 acres of Palestinian land in the Bethlehem area in the south of the occupied West Bank, his spokesman said Monday.

There has been much noise from the international community on this score.

are unrealistic, if he thinks that a small land expropriation will result in more than a condemnation. It is way too small of a deal for a security council resolution or even a general assembly resolution. Exactly how many people does Jefferson think will move in to this land?
